"Barrel Rafferty's Jig", also known "Happy to Meet", "My Love in the Morning" or
"The Wake Jig" is an Irish jig in A Minor. The parts are played AABB.
This dorian mode single jig has a nice flowing feel. It's fun to play.
The title comes from the nickname of the flute-playing father of East Galway/New York
flute player Mike Rafferty, whose lung capacity "would fill a barrel".
It was printed in Breathnach's CRÉ II (1976) (appears as untitled single jig),
Black's Music's the Very Best Thing (1996) and
Harker's 300 Tunes from Mike Rafferty (2005).
It was recorded by Mike & Mary Rafferty on The Dangerous Reel (1996).
